"The Watering Can" (better photos)

SOLD

I like these photos much better. They accurately portray how dark the darks are. This is a beautiful little 7x9 inch oil study of my favorite watering can full of flowers.
These two photos show the brushwork on the can - I really had a great time with this one.

I was very happily surprised at this painting. I'm always nervous about painting metal - Thanks for visiting and your comment.

Thank you so much Janelle - I was very pleased with my brushstrokes - sometime I work them and sometimes they work me...

Great job on the old metal part. I always found metal to be a challenging concept to paint.

Thanks Doug - Metal was always a problem until I studied with Ray Vinella - he told me to paint it one spot at a time and not blend it into a mess - he was right.

Ok, Cara - I will give you until after the holiday. Are you cooking? You could order out and have some time to paint.

I will be painting over the holiday and expect you to join me in spirit.

Cara - Tagged you as a sign of affection. Come look unless you are painting.
