My secret obsession

Sometimes when I'm not painting I bead. I love to bead jewelry and spend way too much money on beads. Its like an addiction. Michael's Craft Store in Columbia recently remodeled and they put the beads right by the front door so there is just no way to avoid having them call my name when I go in buy canvas and oils.

I think this might be a better hobby than plundering the neighborhood of flowers. Pretty necklace.

Well .....fantastic! I love dragonflies. YOu did a great job on this. I've always wanted to bead but I'm too obsessive compulsive to begin a new hobby like that, one with so many choices in beads, etc.

Yes..me too, would love to see more of your bead work.

Hey, If you could catch and preserver a dragonfly with wings out, I would like to paint one for you.

PS - you don't even have to give me a necklace for it.

So you're as distracted by other art forms as I am huh? I love beading too, and knitting, and cooking, and and and...

Lisa

PS - I also really like your necklace.

Lisa - thanks for visiting and for your comment. I guess when you are creative any outlet will do..Its funny, I just got back from the bookstore and I saw a book on cake decorating and almost picked it up before telling myself that enough was enough.

Cara - it is not much of an obsession if you don't do it very often. Are you on meds that is slowing down the compulstion to create?

Merry Christmas

Bill - you are mercyless ... thank goodness!

Those marketers.... they know how to get ya don't they??

Maybe you can make a deal with Michaels to put YOUR WONDERFUL products there for people to buy to wear.... or as samples to aim for!!

I really enjoyed your "things about you", interesting that you went from swat to biker, but Dana would be highly amused by my associates and so would you as we are truly sort of eccentric or something and we run mostly old junk that is somewhat valuable except its worthless to anyone but us. Anyway fun to check in.

Ron - Thanks for visiting. You're right, we know the value of something worthless...don't we! I can remember riding in my nice air conditioned car with my ex-husband and him laughing at bikers fighting the rain or cold and saying they must be crazy...and now THANK GOD I'm one of the crazy ones.

I have a sticker on my helmet (Boo helmets!) that says "Motorcycles ruined my marriage - thank God for miracles" ha ha!
