I have been so busy that I missed father's day when I originally intended to post this painting.
I did this painting of my son Andrew and his father, Robert, about twenty years ago and is my only attempt at figures. The photo was taken at my mother in laws little farm in Los Lunas, New Mexico.

Wonderful things, both.
Thank you Ron - I miss that little boy so much -
Good work! I haven't got up my courage to attempt an actual human being yet.
Thanks Doug - this was a long time ago and I haven't done it since although I'm considereing it.
if this is 20 years ago,
i think you should do more
lovely image cara
Rob - Thanks for visiting and for your comment - I'm started to feel both encouraged and motivated.
What a sweet picture/painting. If your first attempt is this good, you should try it again. The human figure is not an easy subject. You did a nice job.
Thank you Michelle -
Wow, that is just wonderful...I really like this. sandy
Sandy - Thank you so much for visiting and for your comment.
Hi Cara, that's a sweet painting, you really should do it again. It would be interesting to see how the older, wiser Cara would paint it:) I tried to visit your blog last week but it kept crashing! Or maybe it was my computer, who knows?
Lilli - Thanks for the visit. I do have plans for at least 2 or 3 painting of Andrew - its just finding the time...
the more i look at this painting, the more i like it. i like how you left out certain details from the painting...it's like putting your own perspective into the picture. i really really like it.
Thanks Michelle!!!
What a nice painting. Robert is so good looking and Andrew is a doll. You should continue. continue, continue
Thanks for the encouragment Michele -
